Hi, I'm Helen

Using the arts, I strive to support healing, resilience, and connect with what is meaningful to you in life. We might use visual arts, tactile media, writing and poetry, drama, play, movement, or sound work in our sessions. You may want to focus on recovering a sense of child-like play. We may also just talk. You and I will design our work together as makes sense for your process.

Experiences

I have studied relationship, community, psychology, and systemic oppression through lived experience and training for over 15 years.

Populations

I have experience supporting people of all ages, genders, abilities, and identities. I specialize in supporting individuals around self-esteem, relationships, and neurodivergence.

Approach

I am trained to use arts-based modalities to support wellness, healing, and personal breakthrough.

I like to think of our lives as an ecosystem that needs gentle care. Our ecosystem needs tending and care. Sometimes an adjustment can help support a sustainable and satisfying change. I hope to offer a different light source, nourishing soil, and a splash of colour. Life is a complex system, and with some gentleness, playfulness, and curiosity, I believe we can nurture the growth we want toward thriving, balance, and meaning. We will draw on creativity and inner knowing as your source.

I believe that every part of us is good, even the parts that can feel more difficult. Each part of us has developed for a very good reason. We can learn how to shift unhelpful habits, make changes, and cultivate what is desired in life, through art therapy.
